As of April 2021, the planned Splash Water Park in Eilat hasn’t yet turned on the waterworks, but it is scheduled to open in the near future. The new Eilat water park will be the first of its kind in Israel’s Red Sea resort. Planning has been going on for decades, and work is in progress on the former site of Eilat’s Texas Ranch. In December 2019 it was finally announced that a water park would open in Eilat in 2021. But we all know what happened. COVID came along and kinda dried up all our plans. Developers, Ran Epstein and Ofer Glazer have been pushing ahead to get the park up and running. Eventually, the park will cover five acres and later expand to seven acres. It will consist of water slides and amusement park attractions.
Among the water attractions, we can expect to see the highest water slide in the Middle East. There will also be 27 water slides, a kids area, carousels, bump boats, and innovative water attractions. Eilat’s first water park will be a “smart” park.” Visitors will each get an electronic wristband that gives them access to all attractions. With the smartwatch, visitors will also be able to purchase items from the park vendors without carrying around money or credit cards.
Splash will be open for 8-10 months a year (the hot months), seven days a week, and in the summer it will also be open after dark. There are big plans for developing two more water parks in Eilat and an underwater promenade! Terminal Park is planned for the site of the former airport in the center of the city. It will be a massive complex with extreme sports, water park attractions, a food court, and more.
Is there an Eilat hotel with a water park?
In the meantime, you can still find water slides in Eilat. For example, there is the U Splash Resort Hotel on Kibbutz Eilot where there are several water slides and pools at this family-friendly all-inclusive hotel. There is the Leonardo Club Eilat All-Inclusive, which also has water slides and several other Eilat hotels with water parks.
