The Israel Nature and Parks Authority Open Space project offers people areas to study or work in Israel national parks. Since corona, the need for space where people can meet in the open air, or find a quiet spot to take a zoom meeting, or study has become even more important.
Where are the Open Space areas?
Six areas in Israel’s national parks have been allocated for Open Space areas:
- Ein Hemmed National Park
- Tel Be’er Sheva National Park
- Mamshit National Park
- Yarkon National Park Tel Afek Complex
- Beit She’arim National Park
- Ein Afek Nature Reserve
What do the Israel Nature and Parks Authority Open Space areas offer?
The Open Space areas have WiFi, electric outlets for plugging in your devices, and tables to work on and chairs. There are basic facilities such as bathrooms, parking, and a service kiosk where snacks, and coffee are available.
How much does it cost to study or work outdoors in Israel Open Space areas?
You have to pay the regular entrance fee to the park, but there is no additional fee for using the Open Space area. You will have to pay for products offered by the service kiosk-like coffee. Not all the Israel Nature and Park Authority Open Space areas offer coffee. You can get coffee at the Yarkon, Tel Afek, and Tel Be’er Sheva Open Space areas.
When are the Open Space areas in Israel’s national parks open?
Whenever the park is open, Open Space will be open for use. You don’t have to book a place at Open Space, as it is on a first-come basis. But (since corona) it is necessary to sign-up online for your visit to the park.
